Beef Cabbage Roll Casserole

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.

 

Brown beef in a large skillet over medium-high heat until redness is gone. Drain off any excess fat.  

 

In a large mixing bowl, stir together onion, tomato sauce, tomato, cabbage, rice, salt, pepper and Italian seasoning. Stir the ground beef into the mixture.  

 

Pour the mixture into a 9" x 13" baking dish and spread evenly. Pour beef broth over the mixture and cover the dish with foil. Bake for 1 hour, stir and continue to bake, covered for another 30 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes and serve.
