Easy Pesto chicken

Preheat the oven to 350°F. Heat oil in a frying pan on medium-high heat. Add chicken breasts and sear on each side for 1–2 minutes. Place chicken breasts in a baking dish and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover the chicken first with pesto, then with cheese and tomato slices. Bake until the chicken is no longer pink in the middle, about 25–30 minutes, then broil for 2 minutes so that the cheese is bubbly and golden. Serve.
